Peterlee Health Centre is right in the centre of town. It has convenient parking (both its own parking and public parking for the shopping centre) and is within 100m of the transport hub in the centre of Easington District, which ensures excellent access via public transport.
Peterlee Health Centre is right next to the major shopping centre in Peterlee, which includes Citizen’s Advice Bureau and other public offices, as well as a pharmacy. Citizen’s Advice runs a clinic within the Health Centre as well.
The Health Centre has full disabled access including ramps and lifts. As well as the Outpatient Suite mentioned earlier, the Health Centre is home to 6 GP practices which means excellent support in the unlikely event of an emergency and of course all of the emergency and resuscitation equipment. This may also allow a GP to seek specialist advice from one of the menorrhagia consultants for one of their patients at the time of the GP consultation and before referral, which will be an advantage to the women of Easington.
Peterlee Health Centre is located close to the Peterlee Community Hospital and provides excellent access for ambulances. We recognise that for any specialist procedure there may be occasions when a patient needs to be taken to hospital and access for ambulances provides a significant advantage.
